October 1, 2024 鈥� Marist continues its upward trajectory in the latest U.S. News and World Report ranking of the nation鈥檚 best colleges. 

For Best Regional Universities North, Marist climbed to 9th, up from 10th place in 2023. This category highlights institutions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic that offer a full range of undergraduate degrees, as well as graduate programs, and which excel in academic quality and student outcomes.

Additionally, recognizing Marist鈥檚 longstanding dedication to providing students with a rigorous and innovative academic experience, the College placed 4th in the Best Undergraduate Teaching category for the North region. Marist has excelled in this category in recent years, which highlights schools where faculty and administrators are dedicated to providing exceptional undergraduate education.

The U.S. News rankings add to the continuing list of accolades Marist has earned throughout the course of the fall.

• The Wall Street Journal recently named Marist one of the best U.S. colleges, a ranking which focuses on how effectively colleges and universities enhance students鈥� success after graduating, along with student feedback on campus life.
• The Princeton Review鈥檚 annual ranking of top colleges featured Maris as well. In particular, Red Foxes were highlighted as the 8th happiest student body in the nation.
• The influential fashion magazine Vogue named Marist one of the top 15 fashion programs in the country, placing the College at the forefront of institutions shaping the future of the fashion industry.
• Money, the personal finance platform, recognized Marist as one of the nation鈥檚 best colleges, focusing in where students are likely to graduate and land good-paying jobs based on factors such as graduation rates, cost of attendance, financial aid, and alumni salaries.
