Middle States Commission on Higher Education
Reaccreditation Effort 2021-2023
Accreditation Introduction
澳门六合彩app is pleased to share the news that as of June 22, 2023, we have been fully re-accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Welcome to Marist鈥檚 Middle States Commission on Higher Education Self-Study Process. According to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA):
鈥淎ccreditation鈥 is review of the quality of higher education institutions and programs. In the United States, accreditation is a major way that students, families, government official, and the press know that an institution or program provides a quality education."
澳门六合彩app is currently accredited under the Middle States Commission on Higher Education:
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education maintains seven Standards for Accreditation as well as fifteen Requirements of Affiliation:
Overview of the Middle States Reaccreditation Process
Through a comprehensive self-study process, Marist aims to secure reaccreditation by demonstrating its adherence to the outlined Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation as well as investigating three institutional priorities 鈥 high-impact practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the College鈥檚 adaptive business model 鈥 for reflection and future growth. Marist鈥檚 self-study process was carefully designed to be a transparent, inclusive, and collaborative one that involves all campus constituents, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and trustees.
Update on the Middle States Process
The self-study process was initiated in Fall 2020 with the appointment of the self-study co-chairs. The process also included the formation of a steering committee, tasked with overseeing the process, as well as the appointment of working groups that produced reports on each of the standards. The process directly engaged with 128 members of the Marist community. In addition, the steering committee oversaw an inclusive communication and engagement process that included regular updates to campus constituents and open town hall discussions about key findings.
The final Self-Study Report was submitted to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in February 2023. The reports provide an honest, evidence-based evaluation of the College鈥檚 signature accomplishments, adherence to the Middle States standards, and areas for future consideration
