Andrew P. Tokash
Professional Lecturer of Computer Science
Bio
Before coming to Marist, Andrew had more than three decades of computer industry experience at IBM, Poughkeepsie. His career included roles in hardware engineering, process development, and both mechanical and industrial engineering. He has extensive software experience in a variety of programming languages and was responsible for architecting and coding two worldwide logistics applications.
He capped off his IBM career as a senior engineer and project manager. His projects included migrating software applications, transferring manufacturing operations to alternate IBM sites, constructing clean rooms and test environments, and outsourcing assembly operations. His noise abatement project, a first for IBM Poughkeepsie, was a key factor in the site receiving the Occupational Safety and Health Administration鈥檚 Voluntary Protection Program 鈥淪TAR鈥 award.
Andrew was an adjunct professor at 澳门六合彩app for several years before joining the full-time faculty. He teaches courses from each of the computer science disciplines: computer science, information systems, information technology and cybersecurity.
Andrew is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
