Alan G. Labouseur
Professor of Computer Science
Bio
Dr. Labouseur is a professor, researcher, and computer scientist with a background in consulting. He applies that practical consulting background to his theoretical and academic pursuits, shaping the minds of our future technology leaders.
An experienced consultant, advisor, team leader, mentor, and award-winning professor, Alan enjoys developing systems and leading students by example. He co-invented the subfield of Dynamic Data Quality, which, along with research interests in large-scale graph databases and cybersecurity analytics, keeps him busy inside and outside the classroom.

Primary Software Developer: BiG* Data Studio
Built and led a team of four graduate students and one undergraduate (collectively called the 鈥淕-stars鈥) for two semesters where we designed, developed, debugged, and demoed a web-based graphical front end for G*: The Dynamic Graph Database. Features included graph visualization and relational database integration
Primary Software Developer: LCARS
Leading a team of undergraduates in the design and development of LCARS - Lightweight Cloud Analytics for Realtime Security. This effort is part of the NSF SecureCloud grant, of which I am a co-PI. Features include a security dashboard, attack analytics, threat intelligence, and a dynamic reconfigurator.
